1) Purchase Terms & Conditions

Financial Transactions:
For payment we refer you to a reputable and Secure 3rd party payment processor that we have no association with. Any dispute arising out of said transaction must be conducted between you and the payment processor. However we will endeavor to assist you as necessary when appropriate

Returns for exchange:
We like happy customers telling the world what great pickups we make and are prepared to exchange if the results are not as dramatic as our customer hoped for. Returns for exchange within 14 days of receiving your order escape the 10% restocking fee (see below) but you will have to pay the shipping cost of the replacements as well as the cost of returning.

Returns for refund:
I accept only items purchased direct from Kinman for return or refund. Returns for refund are subject to a restocking fee of 10% of purchase price (not including shipping) plus deduction of original freight/insurance costs plus any damage (wear and tear). Returns are allowed within fourteen (14) days of your receipt of the consignment provided the products are ‘As New’ (cable solder points excepted). Cost of restoring to ‘As New’ condition will be deducted from your refund. You will need to contact us for a Return Authorization and instructions before returning the goods. Do not return without hearing from us first and be mindful that emails sometimes go missing. Before requesting return authorization think about selling the pickups (eBay etc). Kinman’s command high resale value so it’s likely you will save the restocking fee and return shipping costs.

Order cancellations:
If a customer cancels their order a cancellation fee of Administration cost of $30 USD or 10% of order amount whichever is the higher will apply. This covers the time consuming expenses incurred in processing, back tracking, communicating and refunding. An exception is where Kinman is unable to deliver in a reasonable time. We consider 35 days is a reasonable time and is still more prompt than most in the music industry.

If the order has already shipped the original cost of shipping and return shipping costs will be deducted from the refund as well as any other deductions that are applicable. See Return for refund above.

Specially made items:
for example reverse magnetic polarity, reverse wind coils, Gold plating or anything else that is not a standard stock item will not be accepted for refund or exchange. We might, at our option, consider return for exchange provided compensation cost is applied to restore the item to stock standard specifications if that is possible.

Warranty:
All products except pots in harness are warranted to be free from manufacturing and material defects for 12 months. Pots are warranted for 3 months. This warranty specifically excludes damage caused by incorrect handling or neglect. Warranty is to the original owner and is not transferable.

 

2) Delivery Terms and Conditions

Shipping information:
Our Shipping prices are the actual cost we pay. The Express Courier List price for your parcel is much higher than our price. Combining multiple items into 1 box will not save a proportional amount of the Shipping charges, see details below under Duty/Tax. In the following paragraphs

Delivery means the process of Shipping from us to you.
Dispatch means when your order leaves our factory.

Refunds:
In addition to any other deduction charges refunds will be reduced by additional 5% to cover transaction fee charged by financial institutions.

Post Office Air Mail Parcel Post with Tracking Number.
Approx time from Ordering to Arrival: minimum is 4 weeks, maximum is approximately 6 weeks. We do our best but this is not always possible. Because of periodic demand peaks, out-of-stock items and uncommon orders it might take longer. Also Post Offices do not always perform The Postal Tracking Number of your parcel can be used to trace your parcel ONLY after it enters your country, it can not be used to locate your parcel before it enters your country.  Entering the Tracking Number into the tracking page of your Country’s Post Office will report that your parcel crossed the border or not. We have no way of tracking

Express Courier
with tracking number and our Insurance.
Approx time from Ordering to Arrival: minimum is 7 days, maximum is 28 days. We do our best but this is not always possible. Because of periodic demand peaks, out-of-stock items and uncommon orders it might take longer. We use FedEx, UPS and DHL. Your shipment has a Tracking number which is used to track and trace your parcel. Normally the Express Courier say they will deliver within 3 to 6 working days after we dispatch, provided Customs don't hold the shipment over. Express Courier shipping is not available for low value items like covers and parts.

Duty/Tax:
We take steps to avoid or legally minimize duty or tax that may be applied by your Government. For Customs purposes a set of Strat pickups carries a declared value of Australian Dollars $186 (approx US$143) while a set of Tele pickups is valued at Australian Dollars $163 (approx US$125). Regardless, the Express Courier is bound to perform a formal Customs Entry and import duty and/or VAT may be applied. We have obligations under International Law so please don't ask us to declare your order as a gift as that is a criminal offense.

Guitar pickups have a Customs Commodity classification of "Parts and accessories for amplified musical instruments" with a harmonized Tariff code of 9209.94.00.

Express Courier and Customs:
in some countrys (ie Spain and some others) the Express Courier will charge you for attendance to Customs Clearance. You can avoid this charge if you attend to Customs Clearance yourself, but you must tell the Express Courier before the parcel arrives. We attach an official "Commercial Invoice" (special Customs document) to each parcel to facilitate Customs Clearance. A copy is in >Members Area >Message Bank.

Undelivered / Returned Parcels:
If the parcel is returned to us undelivered and you want it reshipped you have to pay a second shipping charge.  If the customer wants to abandon the order refer to Order Cancellations above.

Express Courier Tracking number:
A Shipping Notification is emailed to you at time of dispatch which includes either your Express Courier Tracking number and Express Courier Internet tracking site or your Post Office mail Tracking number. You can discover local Express Courier contact details from your Shipping Notification:

Late arrival:

We ship in good faith using a trusted express courier or Post Office. Very occasionally shipments are delayed because the courier occasionally encounters delays at peak periods like Christmas etc and Post Offices have erratic delivery speeds. We will not be held accountable or responsible for late arrival however we will do our best to help locate the parcel and have it delivered.
